Top Nail Oak Flooring

Top Nail flooring is a specialized type of hardwood flooring that does NOT have Tongue & Groove milling. It is called Top Nail because it is installed by nailing through the top of the boards. The nail holes are then filled with matching wood filler. This type of flooring is often found in older homes from the 1950s to 1970s in many urban and suburban communities, mostly on the east and west coasts of the United States. All of our top nail oak floors are 5/16" thickness. They are available in a variety of widths, including:

  • 1"
  • 1 1/3"
  • 1 1/2"
  • 2"
